Role Overview
We are looking for an Intermediate Back-End Developer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and secure systems. You’ll be part of a cross-functional delivery team, working closely with designers, front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to bring products to life and deliver tangible value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services, APIs, and databases for web and mobile applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration.
- Participate in system design discussions and help define architecture and data flow.
- Contribute to database design and optimization (SQL or NoSQL).
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance in all back-end components.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retros).
- Support deployment and monitoring of back-end services in production environments.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as needed.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of professional experience in back-end development.
- Proficiency in one or more server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in an agile and collaborative environment.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with GraphQL APIs.
- Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to serverless architecture and microservices.
- Experience working with a consulting firm or client-facing projects.
