Challenge
To develop a five-year strategic plan, data strategy and commercialisation strategy for REA Group, with respect to their enterprise data assets.
Solution
Reviewing the group’s 2018 acquisition of Hometrack Australia, then charting a market-leading path forward for this data asset and others owned by REA Group.
Result
REA Group is successfully using their data assets to grow organic revenue and build on their success as Australia’s leading real estate marketplace and proptech business.

Trajectory
In Australia, REA Group is best known for its realestate.com.au marketplace, but there’s more to the global digital property business than this one brand.
REA Group owns several big names in the real estate space, and they engaged Advizia to review their AUD$130 million acquisition of the leading data provider, Hometrack Australia.
The Advizia team undertook a full review of this 2018 acquisition, which included asset review and discovery, then set about charting a course forward for this sophisticated data asset, and others in the REA portfolio.
Advizia worked with REA Group stakeholders and market participants to understand key growth opportunities for their data assets, with a focus on market leadership and organic revenue growth.
Advizia then developed a five-year strategic plan, data strategy and commercialisation strategy that will allow REA Group to leverage the wide-ranging capabilities of their data assets in Australia, and draw real value from them, year after year.
