Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about quality and user experience. You will be embedded in cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets user and business needs. You will drive best practices in testing, mentor junior QA engineers, and collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the QA process for one or more products or projects.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Design and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).
- Perform manual and exploratory testing for web and mobile platforms.
- Write and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like Jira.
- Provide QA estimates and contribute to sprint planning.
- Lead QA reviews, share learnings, and continuously improve QA practices.
- Coach and mentor other QA engineers and contribute to internal QA standards and tooling.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA processes.
- Solid experience with manual and automated testing.
- Proficient in writing test automation scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Experience with CI/CD and test automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
- Familiarity with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6).
- Experience working with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Background in consulting or working directly with clients/stakeholders.
- Exposure to security or accessibility testing.
